2022-2023 Sammamish Earthday

Last year (2022) and this year (2023), the City of Sammamish invited us to run a booth for their Earth Day event. Over the combined two events, we helped residents, mostly children, assemble 200 bee hotel kits and distributed 200 native pollinator friendly flower kits to grow in their own greenspaces. The flowers we gave out for the pollinator kit were: Arroyo Lupine, Godetia Farwell-To-Spring, White Yarrow, California Poppy, Tidy Tips, and Blue Flax. Overall, the booth was a huge success! Hundreds of youth and adults learned about our mission and went home with a tool to make their own greenspaces pollinator-friendly.

ABOUT US >

BEEducated is a youth-driven organization combating the harmful environmental and economic impacts of Colony Collapse Disorder on the global bee population. Our efforts are focused on raising awareness about the pollinator crisis through our app, research, and outreach. Unfortunately, the bee population has declined by over 3.5 million since 1947. Our mission is to empower youth to work with their communities to help bees thrive once again.
